Upon arrival at St Mark’s, students are placed in a class according to their age. St Mark’s School reserves the right to place students according to their level of English. Students are provided with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is vital that all information regarding students academic and pastoral history are provided to the school at the time of enrolment. Our Director of Admissions, Mrs Caroline Mills, oversees all educational programmes.
St Mark’s School accepts students from Year 1 – 8 if living in Wellington with a parent.
To begin the process of enrolment, we require a completed international application enrolment form, copies of the student’s birth certificate and passport and a copy of the student’s most recent school report, translated into English. We also require any other educational reports pertaining to the student to be submitted at this time.
We also require payment of the $200 NZD application fee.
An interview with the Principal, Mr Kent Favel will be arranged at this time. This interview can be held by Skype if required.
An offer of place will be sent to successful applicants. This letter will also contain documents which must be completed which must be completed and returned to the school before the student commences study.

- Fee Declaration and Refund Conditions Form
- Emergency and Medical Information Form
- Spontaneous Visits Form
- Copy of all insurance documents
Immigration New Zealand requires students to have an “Offer of Place” from a New Zealand education provider before a Student Visa will be issued. Students and families must observe the conditions of their visa. If a student breaks the terms of their visa, the school is obligated to report the fact to Immigration New Zealand, which may result in the student having to leave New Zealand.
